Hon’ble Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced two significant policies - Bulk Cement Handling Terminals and Haulage charge for transportation of Bulk Cement in Tank Containers - an important step forward towards improving efficiency and logistics in cement transportation. The policies were unveiled at the Green & Eco Friendly Transportation of Bulk Cement through Railway function Organised by the Ministry of Railways today in New Delhi. Ms Aparna Dutt Sharma, Secretary General, Cement Manufacturers’ Association (CMA), welcomed the announcement and stated that these reforms reflected the Indian Cement Industry’s perspective and met Industry expectations.
