Page 51 • Our power generation capacity from waste heat recovery based power plants is the highest in the world cement industry excluding China. We have installed power plants (thermal, wind, solar, waste heat recovery based) of aggregate capacity of 771 MW. We take pride in sharing we have consistently increased the share of green power in the total power consumption at 48.2%, which is one of the highest in the industry. We have been continuously investing in expanding our green energy portfolio and plan to install 33 MWWHRS Plant at our Nawalgarh plant and 106 MW Solar power plants at various locations. • We have started using Agriculture Waste (Crop-residue) in our Ras Power Plants and scaled it to more than 100 MT per day. We aim to double its usage by Dec’22. Use of biomass as renewable source of energy helps in reducing CO2 emission as well as enabling income to nearby farmer’s community. • Our 3 Grinding Units in North region have switched to cleaner fuels and replaced 100% fossil fuels. This initiative is being replicated to all grinding units of the group. • We have invested for the enhancement of our waste utilization capacities with state of art technologies from Denmark & Italy to be commissioned by FY 2022-23. this would not only increase the usage of AFR in Cement Kilns, but will also lead to lower environmental impact by reduction in consumption of fossil fuels and supporting the • We have progressively increased the share of low carbon blended cement, natural resources conservation. We are currently in process to explore feasibility of producing another sustainable alternative to OPC i.e., Limestone Calcined Clay Cement (LC3) that can help reduce up to 40% CO2 emission as compared to OPC. • To contribute towards circular economy, we utilize industrial waste as alternative raw materials, derived from industries like Steel, Fertilizer, Power Plants, Mining, Chemicals. The usage of alternative raw materials has grown upto 27%. In fact, we are manufacture synthetic gypsum, using low grade limestone through a patented technology. • plantations across more than 100 Acres of land available with us across various locations for carbon sequestration. After achieving a harvested every year for various purpose like Ethanol, bio-fuel, construction, textile and for various articles of music & art. This is a pilot project from Shree Cement, we seek support from the Govt. to enable us the waste / non-productive land to
