77 Being a core manufacturing sector, for UCWL, Health and Safety in the workplace is critically important. The company devotes considerable resources and time to train its employees and workers on safety related aspects. In fact, during the pandemic times the practice continued with greater enthusiasm and heightened efforts. UCWL harbours safety cultural thought that embarks upon the fact that each employee of the company is a safety officer, and it is their moral duty to create safe and healthy workplaces for themselves and their colleagues. These efforts of the Company have been recognised at various platforms and in one such event the Company was awarded “19th annual Greentech, safety excellence award 2020, in the sector”.
