with LED for such big plant was not an easy task so the team made strategy to complete the task in no. of phases and without hiring manpower from outside the project was completed by in house workers which lead to saving cost of manpower. We faced the light maintenance problem which was installed at height and these CFL well glass type fi ngs having high frequency chokes due to failure of that component we spend our maximum me to comply the Work at height formali es like HIRA, WAH permit, arrangement require for work at height and manpower also engaged, so we decided to replace the FTL lamps & chokes with LED lamps but again the challenge was genera on of e-waste and cost so we discussed the same with LED vendors and made an arrangement which was suitable in exis ng fi ng. But the disadvantage of the above suitable measure was compromising in IP so we decided to retrofit these types of fi ngs only in indoor area so that we can economically achieve our targets and for outdoor type area we installed 18/20W LED well glass type fi ngs having IP65 in place of 2X 18W CFL well glass type fi ngs. We have retrofi ed approx. 400 no of fi ngs which had 2X18W CFL lamps with 18Wa LED retrofit kit with annual saving of Rs. 2.21 Lac/Annum which results in approx. savings of 26280 Kwh. We have installed 300 Nos. of 20W LED well glass fi ngs in place of 2X18W CFL lamps with annual saving of Rs. 1.31 Lac/Annum which results in approx. saving of 17520 Kwh. Project Execu on The team of innovators prepared an outline for the project and categorized the types of lights installed in the plant premises & colony and accordingly a er much research they selected a brand which would be cost effec ve and maintenance free. For successfull execu on of the project it was done in no. of phases. The team of innovators took EnMPs (Energy Management Programmes).
