We had deputed two security guards for surveillance of explosive room round the clock. But there is poor visibility from security guards room during nights especially during full dark nights. Although portable torchlights have been provided for the purpose, but such torch lights are not sufficient to monitor complete area. The company faced many problems while se ng up the solar system because the guard room roo op is not very congenial to set up solar panels on it. There are many unwanted movement of local ca le, due to this there are chances of damages of solar panels by ca les. There is no proper approach road/way to reach the site. We made a temporary way to shi the solar system material to the site. Proper earthing was needed for the equipments to prevent damage from surges and lightning. This was arranged by the electrical department. A er shi ing material to the site, we set up the complete system. A er the first phase, that is, the commissioning of the system to provide power was completed, a founda on was constructed for the solar PV panels. All 6 solar panels were connected in series and parallel combina ons according to the voltage required, and linked to the charging controller and ba ery bank. The system was tested and found to be running perfectly. Methodology Adopted Our power requirements are met by three sources, and the company selected the renewable energy-based system in place of the grid (Rajasthan State Electricity Board) supply or diesel genera on set. We can not use grid supply due to mines norms. Mostly power is required in night me. So we arrange a ba ery backup upto 16 Hours. Our requirements were easily met by design system. 84
