V-Separator in HPGR circuits: In first genera on HPGR circuits where dynamic separators / deagglomerators are being used for primary classifica on & de- agglomera on purpose, KHD`s V- separator (sta c separator) is the perfect replacement choice. This combina on reduces the specific power consump on of the system and addi onally delivers the benefits of de-agglomera on, primary classifica on, drying / cooling etc. Simple and compact design of the V-separator does not consist of any moving elements and is thus maintenance-free for years. ® Low NOx burner (PYRO-JET Burner): The most impera ve features of ® PYRO-JET burner are the Low NOx emissions, low primary air & flame (stable & uniform) ® characteris cs. The PYRO-JET burner requires a low amount of primary air which is around 4.8% for bituminous coal / petcoke applica ons excluding fuel transport air. The flame of the ® PYRO-JET burner has both an internal recircula on zone and a long external one which results in considerable NOx reduc on. ® PYRO-JET burner operates with many individual high velocity jet streams (axial air) which cause early igni on close to its outlet and do not allow temperature peaks to form inside the flame. Avoidance of temperature peaks reduces the thermal nitrogen- oxide forma on. Also, defined flow condi ons produce reducing zones in the flame, where the nitrogen-oxide already formed is partly reduced to free N . 2 ® Installa on of a PYRO-JET burner not only reduces the NOx emission but also reduces the thermal energy demand to the tune of 3-8 kcal/kg clinker depending on the exis ng burner primary air consump on. Due to its unique high axial air velocity the short and stable flame produces clinker with high mineralogical C S & improves 3 early strength.
