54 PLANT ACHIEVEMENTS My Home Industries Private Limited, Vizag Grinding Unit NSCI-2016 Safety Award (Suraksha Puraskar) For achieving consistent and meritorious OH&S performance by implementing effective OH&S Management Systems, Practices & Procedures, My Home Industries Private Limited, Vizag Grinding Unit (VGU) is chosen for the “ NSCI-2016 Safety Award (Suraksha Puraskar) Trophy and Certificate ” in manufacturing sector. The award was given on the basis of three stages of assessment,  The information furnished in the application was assessed and points were awarded.  Based on the assessment, Awards Committee invited VGU organization to make presentation by a team of Production and Safety Departments.  Factory visit was made by NSCI team for final assessment. The award was presented by Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C), Labour and Employment, Govt. of India, at New Delhi, on 20 th April’17. Golden Peacock Occupational Health & Safety Award – 2017 In recognition of its finest efforts for effective implementation of Occupational Health & Safety systems, for reducing the number of personnel injuries through prevention of workplace hazards & risk of major accidents, My Home Industries Pvt Ltd, Vizag Grinding Unit (VGU) was awarded the “ Golden Peacock Occupational Health & Safety Award – 2017” . The award was presented by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Kurian Joseph (Judge, Supreme Court of India). & Lt.Gen.J .S. Ahluwalla, President, Institute of Directors, on 07.07.2017 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), Hyderabad. Award Committee commended VGU for undertaking significant OH&S initiatives to enhance its reputation, governance and sustainability practices. It has gone beyond the statutory, ethical and sustainable compliance requirement to achieve high standards of corporate excellence. VGU achieved 8 Million Man Hours of Safe Operation on 29.09.2017 and also crossed 2000 Safe working days on 11.10.2017, since last LTI on 19-04-2012. ******
