immensely contributing to the reduction in the pollution load on the country's environment to support its much-desired and unhindered growth process. Notwithstanding such achievements, the Indian Cement Industry has further endeavoured itself to work in tandem with the Government in evolution, formulation and implementation of the PAT Scheme for Energy Efficiency. Besides, the industry has been actively giving its inputs and suggestions to MoEF&CC on installation of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems, New Emission Norms for the Cement Industry towards adoption of the International Best Practices for Environmental Protection. The constitution of an Expert Working Group is the outcome. It is hoped that this will eventually result in an implementable and acceptable Notification of Emission Norms in sync with the local aspirations to support the Industry's Growth vis-a-vis the Country's Growth . As you are aware, this Journal is dedicated to covering latest developments on the frontiers of Energy, Environment and Climate Change besides throwing lights on other pertinent issues that impact on the day-to-day operations of the Cement Plants & the Growth of the Industry for the benefit of the practising professionals in the industry apart from also providing a Knowledge Exchange Platform for the Young Engineers and Scientists who are working in Cement Plants and aspiring to build their Career with the Industry. In this Issue, we have focussed on Productivity Improvement related studies besides giving coverages on Sustainability, Renewable Energy, AFR Utilisation, etc. While it has been our endeavour to constantly upgrade the contents of the Journal. We take this opportunity to seek your Feedback/Suggestions for ringing in further improvements in the Journal.
