A pro-active Indian Cement industry has constantly endeavoured itself to augment the supply of such inputs by adopting necessary measures in advance for Energy Efficiency and Resource Conservation. Additionally, today the industry has excel led by serving as a Sink in utilising wastes from other industries (such as Fly Ash from Thermal Power Stations, Slag from Steel Manufacturing, etc.) and remarkably improved its Clinker Factor by adapting itself to more and more of Blended Cement Production in conformity with the BIS Standards. Many Indian Cement Plants are now widely known to have set Global Benchmark in Energy Efficiency.
