3rd lntE~rnational Conference on ALTERNATE FUELS AND RAW MATERIALS IN CEMENT INDUSTRY Towards Realising Swachh Bharat Dream March 23-24,2017 Hotel "Crowne Plaza Today NewDelhi Okhla" , India Organized by Cement Manufacturers' Association, India Why This Conference With the inconsistent coal availability of varying quality to the Cement Industry over the last few years, the Cement Industry has been grappling to enhance usages of alternate fuels in the cement manufacture and in the process bring down further the emissions level from the plants. With this dual aim, Cement Manufacturers' Association (CMA) had organized the First International Conference on Alternate Fuel & Raw Materials (AFR) in 2013 and second conference in 2015 which had a huge success. Encouraged by the First & the Second Conferences and subsequent positive feedback from all the stakeholders, CMA is organizing the "3rd International Conference on Alternate Fuels and Raw Materials in Cement Industry" at Hotel Crowne Plaza Today New Delhi Okhla, New Delhi during March 23-24, 2017. Objective To facilitate Technical , Regulatory and Financial solutions towards increasing Alternate Fuels usage in Cement Industry and to utilize effectively and efficiently almost all agricultural and industrial wastes generated in the country through having in place an efficient Waste Handling Management System in the country, which would go a long way in enhancing not only the percentage level of Thermal Substitution Rate in the Cement Industry but would also be helpful in addressing a few major concerns of the Govt. considerably such as- (a) protecting the environment through bringing down the emissions levels, (b) reducing the use of fossil fuel by encouraging more usage of AFR and (c) generating downstream employment opportunities. Conference supported by Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, A statutory body under Ministry of Power, Ministry of Urban Development, and other Govt. Departments and Stakeholders are being approached to lend their support to the Event.
