Consumption, Process Quality, Environmental Emissions, and Safety Standards to Higher Levels to meet the Future requirements/ Global Standards. While the Indian Cement Industry has largely acquired State-of– the-Art technologies, nonetheless there has been a growing emphasis on upgrading/ retrofitting and on further innovation to meet the future requirements in a New Compliance Regime. Against this backdrop, CMA organised a Workshop on "Indian Cement Industry: Path Ahead" at its Noida office on 29th November 2016. The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Ashwani Pahuja, DG, NCCBM, who brought out the key issues the Cement Industry has to confront in the emerging future to drive Sustainability. In its endeavour to keep itself abreast of the International Developments, CMA had an interactive meet on 25th November 2016 at its Noida office with a 9-Member Delegation of the Chinese Cement lndustry led by Mr QIAO Longde, President of China Building Materials Federation (CBMF) and President of China Cement Association to explore the Scopes for Technology Transfer, Capacity building and knowledge sharing particularly towards avenues for NOx reduction and Waste Heat Power. In this issue, we have covered articles and papers from Cement Industry Experts on Energy Conservation through innovation in Kiln Reverse Air Baghouse (RABH), Maintenance Planning & Scheduling in Indian Cement Industry, Utilization of Alternate Fuel and Raw Material in Cement Manufacturing, Clinker Mineralization using zinc industry's byproduct "jarosite" as set controller in OPC, amongst others.
