With the Bill having been passed by the Parliament, that subsequently received President of India's assent, it has now become an Act with effect from 12th January, 2015. After the enactment of amendments, the Ministry of Mines have prepared Draft Rules for provisions relating to Auction of the Mineral Concessions as provided under the amended Act and has posted the same on their website inviting comments/ suggestions before 23rdApril, 2015. CMA participated in the 4th Annual International Summit on Fly Ash Utilisation Management organized by Fly Ash Association of India (FAAI) at New Delhi during 12-13 Dcember 2014. Shri N.A. Viswanathan, Secretary General, CMA in his address in the Inaugural Session stated on the various issues concerned with the availability of Supl)9rt4CI By the quality fly ash for the cement plants and the need for a review of the Fly Ash Notification. Dr. S.K. Handoo, Advisor (Technical), CMA made a presentation on the Present Status and Availability of Fly Ash and its Utilisation in Cement Industry besides stressing the Need to further increase the production and Utilisation of PPC.
