A Technical Exhibition was also organized on the sidelines of the conference wherein leading Cement Manufacturers and Equipment Manufacturers apart from leading publishers of cement magazines and books from India and abroad par ticipated. More than 250 stakeholders from Ind ia and abroad participated in the two-day long conference. The recommendations of the conference were crystallized after the event and shared with the concerned Government authorities, DIPP, MoEF & CC with a request to initiate action on the suggestions made in the conference for ensuring and enabling enhanced usage of Alternative Fuels and Raw Materials in the Cement Plants. A Brief of the other specific activities that f ollowed during the period in the matters of BIS, Environment, and Mining is presen ted below. BIS ISSUES During the period, the 22nd Meeting of BIS Cement and Concrete Sectional Committee, CEO 2 in joint session with CEO 2:1 and CEO 2:2 was held on 4 111 March 2015, wherein our Members from the India Cements Ltd, UltraTech Cement Ltd and J K Lakshmi Cement Ltd participated. The discussions in this meeting included draft specifications for PPC, increasing fly ash additives limit in PPC, etc. BISwould consider inclusion of performance improvers in PPC/ PSC only after the findings of ongoing studies by NCBare available. Similarly the increase of fly ash addition in PPC would be guided by the NCB findings on the ongoing studies to revise the standards. '. ) '
