The present article describes the comprehensive manner in which the plant has addressed environmental problems and met with notable success . A case study also is presented on the actual returns accrued from a particular environmental modification carried out by the plant's Environmental Management Cell which has been set up exclusively fo r taking care of all environment related issues. The Cell is equipped with monitoring and analysis faci lities covering air, water and meteorological parameters.
