24 • MHIPL aims at mineral conservation in its captive limestone mines by directly blending the high siliceous limestone with high grade limestone available in the same mine and also with other captive limestone mines, thereby increasing the life of the mines & protect the environment by avoiding high siliceous material dumps. • By implementing in house modifications (best practices) mentioned above in trucks tyre punctures repairs & tyre handling systems, the availability of truck increased and the down time decreased, which directly improve the crusher productivity. • MHIPL Crusher productivity (TPH) in Unit-I&II crusher increased from 684 TPH in the year 2018-19 to 719 TPH in the present year 2021- 22 and the power consumption decreased from 1.01 units to 0.87 units/ tonne. Similarly in the Unit-III crusher, the productivity increased from 778 TPH to 814 TPH and the power consumption decreased from 0.94 units to 0.84 units/tonne. Training to Mines employees MHIPL established the My Home Group Vocational training centre (MHGVTC) at our Choutapalli limestone mine in the year 2013 to impart training to the person to be employed/ already employed in group of Mines pertaining to all mining activities. This centre is operated as per Mines Vocational Training Rules, 1966 under the Guidance of Director General of Mines Safety. The surrounding 12 mines in this area pertaining to eight cement industries have membership in My Home Group vocational Training centre (MHGVTC). This Training centre has the experienced whole time Vocational Training Officer (VTO) and Vocational Training Instructor (VTI). The MHGVTC have all the facilities like Air conditioned Lecture Hall to accommodate 50 persons, Computers, LCD Projector, Screen, Mike, Amplifiers, Office room • Avoiding overloading of tippers and consequent spillage on the roads. • The Company has embarked upon massive plantation along the 7.5 m periphery of the Mining Lease boundary. • As of Now we have developed an overall afforestation of 68,818 saplings covering within & outside ML area of 67.93 Ha. in all our captive limestone Mining Leases. • MHIPL captive mines having dedicated crew of 8 to 9 persons with water tanker facility for every captive mine taking care of plantation within & outside Mining lease area and achieving survival rate of more than 90%. The atmosphere at the mines resembles a picnic spot.
