Cement Energy and Environment

Let the country really make it easy to do business. Besides red-tape there are many other negatives too in terms of skill development, education, awareness, safety aspects and so on. Because if all basics are not set right then the positive we bank on that is 'by 2025, a quarter of the world's working age population will be located in India, will end up becoming the biggest negative! The demographic dividend has to be really be usable' and this workforce is to be well educated, highly skilled and at lower cost in respect of productivity. India's demographic dividend can contribute to drive innovation on a world-scale. But facilitation and that too en-mass is essential. There is a marked difference between china and India in the development track. China's shift towards a developed economy has been largely driven by the country's corporate sector: China's companies (both state-owned and private) have rapidly adopted the technologies and approaches of others to quickly build their capabilities. The economies of scale have been breathtaking as they managed to become the worlds workshop & manufacturing base . They have leapfrogged their way through and equipped as well as skilled themselves. In India, however, the shift is being driven by private sector. But then these have to move up the skill ladder and tech soundness too in a qualitative way. Economies of scale and numbers in manpower strength are yet nowhere like China. However, overseas and locally India has graduated from a 'sub-contractor' status to 'principal' as far as infra space is concerned. India influence in professional services will grow only by its low cost base and skilled workforce measure. The tilt in the global infrastructure market is taking place towards the East. China is entrenched and India can also successfully gain foothold if the basics that are highlighted are diligently followed. If that happens, then over the long term, the future can be right here!
