The implementation of the PAT scheme of BEE has entered its second cycle. BEE has been conducting region-wise workshops to discuss the Targets for the existing DCs and the new DCs who will have to meet a more tougher target now. On the Environment Front, CMA was able to persuade the MoEF & CC in revi siting its Gazette Notification of 25th August 2014 (for new Emission Norms for the Cement Industry). Accordingly, following the recommendations of the Expert Working Group, MoEF & CC has come out with the Revised Gazetted Notification on g th May 2016, effecting some amendments to the earlier notification. Since the revised norms still left many issues unresolved, particularly with respect to vintage of plants, implementability of the NOx emission standards, impact of secondary abatement needed to reduce NOx besides the a CMA Delegation of
