ENERGY CONSERVATION ROUND-UP · TRAINING PROGRAMME ON IMPROVING EFFICIENCY THROUGH ENERGY AUDIT AND MANAGEMENT N CB organised a Training Programme on "Improving Efficiency Through Energy Audit and Management" at its Hyderabad unit during 18 - 21 August 1998. ll was attended by 23 participants from different cement plants. The participants appreciated NCB's role in energy conservation by holding such traini ng programmes and conducting energy audit stud ies. The lectu res were delivered by NCB experts as well as experts from Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Fuller India Ltd. etc. Following were the topics covered : • Energy management principles. • Rot ~ and princ iples of energy audit. • Influence of raw material and fuel characteristics on energy cons umption. • Energy conservation through optimisation of kiln operation. • Energy conser vation through optimisation of ball mill and ro ller mill operation. • Modern energy efficient systems and technology in pyroprocessing. • Improving energy efficiency in electrical systems. • Modern energy efficient systems and technology in size reduction operations. • Energy management including target setting and monitoring.
