Satna Cement Works, Satna is a dry process plant having an installed capacity of 7.50 Jakh tonncs. The plant is equipped with a rotary kiln and precalciner having a rated capacity of 2500 tpd. Energy Conservation Measures Adopted by the Plant Electrical Energy • False air ingress in Raw mill, kiln and coal • mill was continuously monitored and action taken to minimise false air entry. • Preheater and ESP fan SPRS circuitry modified, thus increasing their availability. Thermal Energy Optimum burning condition in kiln maintained by modifying the chemistry of feed to provide highly re-active clinker. • Preheater and ESP fan SPRS circuitry • Installation of fluidised Bed modified, thus increasing their availability. • High efficiency separators were optimised • Air utilisation for FK pumps was optimised • Resistance to commminution was decreased by sizing grinding media • Grinding media loading of each chamber was optimised so as to keep the minimum mill feed level Combustion system in Boiler. • Installation (Clinker of Inlet II<N-KIDS Distrjbution System) in grate cooler.
