World Bank- IREDA Workshop on Energy Efficiency Project Development and Financing A Workshop on Energy Efficiency Project Development and Financing was organised by Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (lREDA) in assoc iation with World Bank during February 1997 at New Delhi . NCB ENERGY EFFICIENCY AWARDS Success Stories of Recipients of Energy Awards JAYPEE REWACEMENT,REWA (Recipient of Best improvement in Energy Performance award for 1994-95 and Best improvement in Thermal Energy Performance awardfor 1995-96). Jaypee Rewa Cement, Rewa is a dry process plant hav ing an installed capacity of 25 Lakh tonnes per annum. The plant is equipped with two rotary kilns of capacities 3000 tpd (4-stage SP with precalciner) and 4500 tpd (5- stage SP with precalciner). Energy Conservation Measures Adopted by the Plant: Overall A senior level technical team continuously looks for means to reduce energy consumption levels in the plant. Electrical Energy Variable speed flow control in preheater fan, ESP fan, cooler ID fan and coal mill ESP fans. Reduction of false air ingress in various circuits. .. 1
