MESSAGE May 4, 2012 I am pleased to know that CMA will be bringing out a special issue of Internal Journal CMA Journal "Cement, Energy and Environment" as part of Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Industry Association. From an initial capacity of9.4 Million Tonnes in 1961, representing 35 plants of 22 companies, the Cement Industry has grown many folds. Today the industry represents more than 340 Million Tonnes Capacity spread across the country. The Indian Cement Industry can be proud of its achievements in productivity and energy efficiency on a global scale. All these achievements could not have been possible without the technical leadership of the CMA team. This Journal, the voice of the technical arm of CMA has been propagating and sharing with the Industry Association, Members' Articles on technology trends, new Plant and Machinery, Energy Efficiency, Environment as well as information on new regulations and policies from the Government. This Journal has a reach of 144 Cement Plants with a capacity of 244 Million Tonnes representing 42 Companies who are members of the Association.
