Alternate Fuel Feeding System at Vikram Cement Works:- Vikram Cement Works has spent a capex of about Rs. 50 Crores for installation of processing municipal solid waste plant at Jaipur and separate alternate fuel feeding system at Vikram Cement, Khor. The system is capable of handling and feeding to calciner various types of Non Hazardous and hazardous wastes like Paint sludge, Opium marc, ETP sludge. In this system three separate receiving hoppers with load cells are provided unloading of waste material from trucks and transporting to storage hoppers.. The transport belts are fully covered and are provided with dust filters at all transfer points. The entire alternate fuel feeding system is fully automatic and is controlled through programmable logic controllers (PLC). The technology for the system has been sourced from M/s KHD Humboldt Wedag , India and SHW, Germany. Use of Refused Derived Fuel in Cement Kiln:- For feeding RDF , a muni cipal solid waste to RDF preparation plant is installed at Jaipur with a capacity to produce 500 MT of RDF per day .. This processed MSW i.e. RDF is being used as alternate fuel at Vikram Cement, Khor in cement kiln.
