CPB Diaphragm Up to now, all our planning was made for upgrading of existing cement mil ls with the main target to increase the production rate. Operating experiences have shown a production increase in the range of 20% and a reduction of specific energy of approx. 7 - 10%. These figures were obtained with a me pregrinding system in closed circuit with vibrating screen. In a nutshell, the advantages of me pre-grinding are as follows: • production increase and specific energy savings • high availability and low maintenance costs • reduction of specific wear costs for mill internals, caused by smaller grinding media • continuous mill feed with defined reduced particle size • simple design of HIC • low investment costs • low noise and dust emission o low power requirement High efficiency separator- type QDK In a closed-circuit grinding plant the material discharged from the mill is classified in a separator into tailings and fines. The tailings are fed back to the mill with the fresh material; the fines, together with the dust from the mill air, form the finished product. The use of the separator relieves the mill of the proportion of cement which is already finely ground. The associated energy savi ng effect is greater the more efficiently the separator separates the incompletely ground material into fine and coarse fractions.
