and a coal mill from India. Wonder Cement Ltd, a newcomer on the cement market headquarted in Udaipur, plans to set up a cement plant on a greenfield site in Tehsil Nimbahera in the Chittorgarh district. So far the company has been mainly involved in the lime industry, but due to extensive raw material deposits it now intends to produce cement as well. To this end an MPS 5600 B raw mill will feed a rotary kiln with a capacity of 6500 -7000 tpd . As the customer was not familiar with technical state-of– the-art solutions for modern cement works, they sought expert advice from Guargaon (New Delhi)-based Consultant HOLTEC. The fact that HOLTEC assessed the MPS mill as reliable grinding unit was a major factor in the customer's decision to place the order with Gebr. Pfeiffer. The MPS 56008 raw mill, which will come equipped with a 5600 kW drive, is designed to produce 550 tph of raw meal ground to a fineness of 15 per cent R 90 IJm. Pulverised petcoke will be used as fuel for the kiln. It wi ll be ground in an MPS 3070 BK roller mill designed for a capacity of 35 tph to a fineness of 2 per cent R 90 IJm. It will also be possible to grind up to 64 tph of coal or lignite in the mill, to dry them by means of process gases and to classify them in the integrated SLS-BK high efficiency classifier of the latest generation. Due to the high abrasiveness of Indian coal, the mill will be provided with appropriate wear protection. As is the case for most orders for the Indian cement industry, engineers from Noida-based Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Pvt. Ltd will plan the layout of the grinding plants. The engineering services will include the production of general arrangement drawings and the specification of the components to be procured by the customer and will be completed with the subsequent supervision of the installation and commissioning of the mills. Tumdi plant (ABG Cement Limited) Bricking Solutions was contracted for the supply of a basic EZ Flexx bri ck lining machine for a kiln with a range of 5 - 6.2 m, and a 14 ft . work deck. Ultratech Cement In September 2010, Aumund received and additional order for four chain bucket elevators, four belt bucket elevators and two twin bucket elevators for Ultratech Cement. In November there was a follow– up order from Ultratech for six deep drawn pan conveyors and a further belt bucket elevator. Vasavadatta Cement At Vasavadatta Cement's Unit Ill, FL Smidth supplied a low NOx In-Line calciner kiln system that already has provision for a HOTDISC. The HOTDISC is a safe, simple and effective combustion device that maximizes the substitution of fossil fuels by alternative fuels in a controlled and environmentally sound manner. The system to be supplied by FLSmidth consists of the latest generation HOTDISC with FL Smidth triple fl ap slui ce, as well as complete receiving, storage dosing and transportation systems for shredded and whole tyres. A specially designed feeder system along with belt conveyors will be . supplied for handling and transporting both shredded and whole tyres simultaneously to the HOTDISC. This system will enable Vasavadatta Cement to feed 3.5 tph of tyres and replace approximately 30 per cent of the coal fired in the calciner with alternative fuels. Virudhunagar plant (Madras Cement) Four belt bucket elevators for conveying clinker, gypsum and cement, as well as a twin bucket elevator, will be delivered to the plant in Virudhunagar by Aumund Fordertechnik in the first half of this year. The Aumund service unit also received and order for the capacity increase of an existing Aumund chain bucket elevator to 500 tph for the conveying of flyash and gypsum. A further conversion contract relates to the capacity increase of an Aumund belt bucket elevator to 350 tph. Wadi plant(ACC Ltd/Holcim India) ACC Ltd planned to expand its Wadi plant and, to this end, ordered the MPS 5600 B mill with and installed drive of 5600 kW, guaranteed to produce 560 tph of finished product. The mill was commissioned in October 2010. Four MPS mills are currently running at ACC plants, grinding raw material and coal. A new ki ln line commissioned at the Wadi plant has a capacity of 12 500 tpd of clinker, making it one of the largest of its kind in the world .
