temperature imaging system for the monitoring of the kiln/cooler was purchased from Thermoteknix Systems. Furthermore, India Cement purchased a Thermo Scientific CB Omni online analyzer for this plant. The new online analysis system will be located after the primary crusher and will be used to analyse all materials being fed to a preblending longitudinal stockpile. Maihar Cement (B.K. Birla Group) At the end of 2008, Mumbai– based Maihar Cement ordered an MPS 2800 BK vertical roller mill for coal. The mill , with an installed power of 645 kW, will have a capacity of 40 tph of coal ground to a product fineness of 15 per cent residue 901Jm . The coal will be ground and dried in the mill , using inert gases from the cement rotary kiln, and classified in the integrated high-efficiency SLS 2250 BK classifier of the latest generation. The equipment was delivered in the first half of 2010 and is currently under erection. Mangalam plant (Kesoram Cement) Thermoteknix Systems won a contract to supply a WinBrix Refractory Expert Software system for the tracking and monitoring of kiln refractory . Muddapur plant (J.K. Cement Ltd) Fives Pillard has supplied a 92 MW NOVAFLAM burner firing coal , petcoke and diesel oil. Mudhol plant (J. K. Cement Ltd) In earl y 2007, Jaykaycem Ltd , a subsidiary of Indian cement manufacturer J.K.Cement Ltd, ordered an MPS 5600 BC with a grinding capacity of 160 tph of granulated blastfurnace slag cement from Gebr. Pfeiffer SE and Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Pvt. Ltd. At its Mudhol plant in Karnataka , Jaykaycem Ltd had been using vertical roller mills supplied by competitors for raw meal and coal grinding, but the Indian cement manufacturer decided to switch to an MPS mill for cement grinding. The intention is to use the mill not only for grinding granulated blastfurnace slag . Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Private Ltd provided the specifications for the components bought elsewhere and designed the layout of the grinding plant. With an installed capacity of 5400 kW, the gearbox for this mill will be one of the largest operating in India. Muh.tyala Village plant (KCP Limited) In 2009, Chennai-based KCP Limited ordered a raw meal grinding plant for a new cement production line from Gebr. Pfeiffer SE, Germany. The MPS 4500 B vertical roller mill, which was commissioned in January 2011 , was set up in Muktyala Village , Jaggayapet Mandai, in the Krishna District of the Andhra Pradesh state. Raw material is ground to a fineness of 15 per cent residue 90 IJm at a rate of 350 tph. The mill is equipped with a 2750 kW drive. The nominal power of the mill gear unit corresponds to the installed power of the drive motor and has been chosen to be above the power that is expected to be absorbed to allow for sufficient reserve. Only a few weeks after Gebr. Pfeiffer SE, Germany, and Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Pvt. Ltd had been contracted to ·supply the raw meal grinding plant, KCP Limited placed another order for an MPS 2800 BK for coal grinding, which is also installed in the new plant. The coal , which is used to fire the cement rotary kiln, is ground to a product fineness of 15 per cent residue 90 IJm. The mill , with an installed power of 570 kW, is designed for a finished product rate of 40 tph . While being ground in the mill , the coal , which may have a feed moisture of up to 15 per cent, is dried with hot gases. The core components of the mill and the classifier, for instance the rollers, the hydropneumatic tension system and the mill gear unit, were supplied by Gebr. Pfeiffer SE. The other components of the mill , as well as the components required to complete the grinding plant, were supplied by Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Pvt.Ltd. Nimbahera plant (Wonder Cement Ltd) Polysius is to build a 6500 tpd cement production line for Wonder Cement Ltd in Rajasthan. The main components to be supplied by Polysius include a tangential blending silo and the kiln system consisting of: a 6-stage, 2-string DOPOL®. 90 prel1eater with PREPOL-MSC calciner, the rotary kiln and a POLYTRACK® clinker cooler. Two cement grinding systems complete the order. Each of these 200 tph combi-grinding systems will consist of a POLYCOM® high– pressure grinding roll , a SEPOL®_pc separator and a single-compartment mill. Panvel plant (Penna Cement Industries Ltd) Penna Cement Industries Ltd has contracted Polysius to supply a cement grinding plant for installation at Panvel, near Mumbai in the Indian province of Maharashtra. The new grinding plant is to be a combi-grinding 15
