Baga JHCP plant (Jaiprakash Associates Ltd) The company has purchased a Loesche mill type LM 56.3+3 for the grinding of 300 tph PPC with a fineness of 3200 cm 2 /g. Balaji plant (Jaypee Cement Ltd) A cement mill of Gebr. Pfeiffer's newly developed vertical roller mill type, the MVR 5600 C-4, equipped with four rollers, is currently being installed at Balaji in India. The mill, which was ordered in 2009, is guaranteed to achieve a capacity of 31 0 tph of Portland cement with a specific surface of 3000 cm 2 /g Blaine and 320 tph of cement with a specific surface of 3500 cm 2 /g Blaine and a 30 per cent flyash portion. This mill will be driven by a 6600 kW MultiDrive®, consisting of four 1650 kW modules, including frequency converters. Gebr. Pfeiffer SE supplied the machinery for the Balaji plant, starting from feed metering system and ending with finished product handling. Delivery took place in autumn 2010, with commissioning to be carried out in the second half of this year. In addition to this, back at the end of December 2007, Jaypee Cement had ordered two vertical roller mills for its Balaji plant from Gebr. Pfeiffer SE and its Indian subsidiary Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Private Ltd. An MPS 5000 B, equipped with a 3700 kW drive, will produce 450 tph of raw meal with a fineness of 12 per cent R 901Jm. The coal mill ordered is an MPS 3070 BK, which will be fitted with an 840 kW drive and produce 58 tph of lignite. The erection of these mills has been completed and commissioning has just started. Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Private Ltd supplied not only all the machine components for the grinding plants but also the complete engineering services for the planning of the plants, as well as the specifications for all items to be bought elsewhere. In September 2010, FL Smidth Denmark ordered two Aumund belt bucket elevators for conveying of raw meal and cement, as well as two twin bucket elevators for clinker to be installed at the Balaji cement plant, which produces 3.5 million tpa of cement. The machines were scheduled for delivery in May 2011 . A contract was also awarded to Thermoteknix Systems for the supply of a ThermaScope SLK kiln/cooler high-performance radiometric temperature imaging system and a ThermaScope HTV CCTV style non-radiometric high temperature video camera for the monitoring of the kiln/cocler. Bhatapara plant (Ambuja Cement Ltd) A kiln access ramp with a load capacity of 8.5 t and heavy duty fall guards has been supplied by Bricking Solutions. Bheema Cements Ltd A contract was awarded to Thermoteknix Systems for the supply of a Centurion Infrared Linescanner with WinCem kiln shell visualization software system for the monitoring of kiln shell temperatures. Chamba plant (Jaiprakash Associates Ltd) In April 2007, Gebr. Pfeiffer AG and Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Private Ltd were awarded a contract to supply two vertical roller mills for Jaiprakash Associates ltd 's new Chamba works, located in Himachal Pradesh , also known as HP-11. An MPS 5000 B, equipped with a 3700 kW drive, will produce 400 tph of raw mill with a fineness 12 per cent R 901Jm. The coal mill ordered was an MPS 3070 BK. Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Private ltd supplied all the mechanical components of the grinding plants, moreover, the company also provided the complete engineering services for the planning of the plants and the specifications for the parts sourced elsewhere. Meanwhile, the customer has decided to set up the equipment, originally ordered for the Chamba works, at Jaypee Super works. Erection is currently underway. As the grindability of the raw material to be processed and the raw meal requirement deviated from those of the Chamba works, the grinding capacity was not enough and the customer ordered an additional grinding plant with an MPS 4000 B vertical roller mill for Jaypee Super in 2009. Chanda plant (ACCLtd/Holcim) In 2008, Gebr. Pfeiffer SE and Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Pvt. Ltd were appointed by Mumbai– based ACC Ltd to supply an MPS 5600 B vertical roller mill for its new Chanda plant, which was set up in Chandrapur, Maharashtra. The raw mill, with an installed drive capacity of 5600 kW, was commissioned in December 2010 and is capable of producing 560 tph of raw meal ground to a fineness of 1.5 per cent R 212 !Jm. This order followed a contract won a few months earlier for the supply of an identical mill to be set up at ACC's Wadi plant. 12 r
