ENHANCED USAGE OF ALTERNATE FUELS AND RAW MATERIALS IN CEMENT INDUSTRY

With the continued contraction of coal availability to the Cement Industry over the last couple of years with no signs of its improvement in the near future, the Cement Industry has been grappling to enhance usages of alternate fuels in the cement manufacture and in the process bring down further the emissions level from theplants. With this dual aim, Cement Manufacturers’ Association (CMA) and Institute for Industrial Productivity (IIP), a Washington DC based International NGO had jointly organized the First International Conference on Alternate Fuel & Raw Materials (AFR) in 2013 which had a huge success.

Encouraged by the First Conference and subsequent positive feedback from all the stakeholders, CMA and IIP  jointly organised the “2nd International Conference on Enhanced Usage of Alternate Fuels and Raw Materials in Cement Industry” in New Delhi on February 19-20, 2015.
